Make-A-Wish
Make-A-Wish is the nationally recognized philanthropy supported by Chi Omega. The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions, allowing magic to happen in the lives of these children and their families. Chi Omega's mission is to make a difference and to enhance the lives of these children and families as they fight these illnesses together. Pi Beta's greatest source of fundraising is through our annual Wish Gala and annual Wish Week! We also participate in many other fundraising opportunities through trunk shows, percentage nights, and apparel sales throughout the year. The monetary donations that we are able to collect go towards granting some of life’s most important wishes. Pi Beta values our intimate relationship with Make-A-Wish and often volunteers or participates directly with Minnesota Make-A-Wish. Many of our sisters participated in their Walk for Wishes in the summer, or more recently volunteered with MAW at Pet Evolution.

Wings for Wishes
Wings for Wishes is a fundraising event organized by Chi Omega Pi Beta with the aim of supporting the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This event is an embodiment of our sorority's commitment to philanthropy and community service. Through Wings for Wishes, we strive to make a meaningful impact by raising funds to help grant the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Participants and attendees can expect an engaging and fun-filled event featuring various activities such as charity auctions, raffles, and a plethora of yummy wings, all while contributing to a noble cause. By partnering with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, we are able to provide hope, strength, and joy to deserving children and their families, embodying the spirit of sisterhood and compassion that defines our sorority. Together, we can make wishes come true, one donation at a time. In 2023, we were able to raise around $5000 from this event! For our 2024 Wings For Wishes, our Director of Philanthropy, Lily Castiglione, planned such a successful event on March 23rd filled with yummy wings, yard games like bags and spike-ball, and a student raffle. We raised $5,172 from tickets and generous donations!

Combining irresistible elements: delectable donuts, exquisite jewelry, and adorable clothes, our first day of Wish Week is an innovative and delicious day dedicated to supporting the mission of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Tuesday, October 17th
Virtual Donation Bingo Cards and MAW Photo Shoot
The virtual donation bingo cards aspect of the fundraiser offers a fun and interactive way for participants to contribute to the cause. Chi Omegas will post a virtual bingo card on social media and participants can purchase a square on the bingo board for various prices in hope of getting a BINGO! Our Make-A-Wish photo shoot is a creative and inspring way to bring awareness and support to Make-A-Wish.

Card Making for MAW
Card Making for Make-A-Wish is a heartwarming and compassionate initiative dedicated to supporting the mission of Make-A-Wish kids. Members of the sorority created handmade cards to spread joy and positivity to Sylvie and Isla as we congradulate and support their wishes being granted!

Franks Pizza Proceeds Night
Franks Pizza Proceeds Night for Make-A-Wish is a deliciously philanthropic event aimed at rallying support for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This flavorful fundraiser brings together members of our sorority, community patrons, and pizza enthusiasts alike to savor mouthwatering slices while contributing to a cause that spreads hope and joy.

Annual Wish Gala
We had such a fun time celebrating the granted wishes of two Make-A-Wish children, Sylvie and Isla, at our second annual Wish Gala. Sylvie wished to see the Viking's play and Isla wished to see Broadway in New York. Pi Beta raised around $17,000 from our Gala for MAW through generous donations, silent auction, and raffle tickets!
