Campus Involvement
Molly Kukiela
The involvement in campus activities is a vibrant testament to our commitment to leadership, service, and community engagement. As active members of the campus community, we pride ourselves on our extensive involvement in various clubs, organizations, and initiatives. Some clubs our sisters are apart of include but are not limited to Campus Clean Up Crew, Beginners with Brushes, SALT, and Best Buddies.

Molly, our current Director of Campus Activities, is responsible for planning and facilitating our extremely busy and fun weeks of both Homecoming and Machy Days, as well as smaller events to get our chapter connected to the community. Some events we have had included celebrating Women in Sports month by watching the Women's Hockey Game, teaming up with Campus Clean Up Crew to clean our campus, and parents weekend where we invite families to spend time with our chapter.
About Homecoming and Machy Days
Homecoming 2023 was themed decades, and took place the week of September 25th-30th and is filled with many activities and events with our Greek Life pairings which our former Director of Campus Activities, Bryn Harris, helped put together. Our 2023 pairings were Theta Chi and FIJI and our theme was the 80s! During Machy Days, there are many events hosted by all three chapters, like barbecues, bonfires, pomping, and lipsync practice. Pomping is the activity in which we create our homecoming float. It's a process in which we take colored tissue paper and glue it to chicken wire in order to create a mural of an image based on our theme. Banners are then reviewed and voted upon on Friday of that week. Lipsync is an event all Greek Life chapter participate in. Each paring creates choreography with music based on their theme. The dances and performances are judged and the top three winners are announced. In 2023, Chi Omega, Theta Chi, and FIJI came in first for lipsync!

Machy Days is a week with a series of philanthropy events, social events, and competition between pairings of PHC, IFC, MGC, and NPHC chapters! This year, Machy Days is from Monday, April 15th through Friday, April 19th. And it concludes with Spring Jam, a concert and carnival sponsored by the U, on Saturday April 20th! The theme is road trip with the Greeks - we are going to New York! Chi Omega, Lambda Phi Delta, and Sigma Chi placed third overall!
